Good Bye 2009..

Another year is almost over..

Was it a good one for me ?

a flash back thru my life in 2009....



Enjoyed the new year in Canada and spent another 2 months there..

Technically learned a lot.. new technologies, new people, new projects..

Back in India, took vacation for one week and spend a nice time in hometown..



Back to work, time to try out the technologies i learned ....

I struggled a lot, but end of day, i achieved what i want to..



Two more months passed by without anything special.. just the normal office -home work..



Time to next travel ,that too to Africa,yes my first trip to West Africa.

Ghana was a nice place, somewhat similar to Kerala..

Work was okay, but i was not much happy.



back from Ghana, once again to hometown... one week there..

Works in office is going smooth, except my relation with my manager.. :)

I started thinking about moving out of NCR.



Once again back to hometown in last week of Agust , that too for Sister's wedding.

everything went well, and do you know its my turn now.. :)



Back from home, i seriously thought about moving out of NCR and decided to do it after the cureent project is over and planned to move to Qatar and look for a job there.



And on Nov 19, after 4 years of service in NCR Corporation, i decided say good bye..

Three weeks in home, and then flying to Doha on Visit visa ..



Now i'm here for for almost 20 days, still searching for a job..



i think i haven't missed any thing ..



Now looking forward for a great 2010...

hope God will give grand his blessing on me...



So, here i'm wishing all of you a very happy new year..

may the new year brings you all the joy, success, peace and happiness in your life..

Paa -

Recently i saw Paa-and to say I have been blown away by the sheer brilliance of Mr Amitabh Bachchan.

Reason i was intersted in this film were ,
1. Its Director --> R. Balki
Actually i liked his earlier film, Cheeni Kum
2. Abhishek Bachchan
I like this guy..
3. Amithabh Bachhan
Big B, do i have to write anything about him here?
4. Vidya balan
Simply beautiful.

Amitji as Auro was really rocking, what a performance..
Abhishesh, Vidya also acted well.
Story was also good.. a differnt theme..

Progeria -- i was hearing this for the first time.

But you know what, the promos were not that great..if anybody here who is confused about spending time/money on this film,
no more thoughts, just go ahead.

Overall, a film worth watching.

Paa- A very rare father-son-son-father story

Friday the 13th.

Just one more Friday, the 13th is over.
What is it all about this day/date ?
Do you believe in its good luck/bad luck?

I'm not.. but as usual, i'm interested in waiting for this day...

13 is considered to be a unlucky number and Friday as a bad day..
so when both coincides ..it is had unlucky day..

In 2009, we got 3 such friday's.. February, March & November.
All three days were good for me..

Mumbai - 1

Talking about Mumbai, three things which came to my mind are.

1. Spirit of Mumbai
- Yes , we don't care any damn thing, life has to move on. Be it terrorist attack,train accident, flood , Mumbai will be active on the very next day. The life is soo busy here , nobody have to time to stop and weep.

2. Mumbai Local
- If you had been to Mumbai and never traveled in local train, i would say, you never enjoyed Mumbai. Try to travel in the peak hours, morning to Churchgate side and in the evening to Virar side (Sorry , i don't have much knowledge about the central line). How people are boarding the train which stops only for few minutes in each station and there is no space to put your leg inside the compartment. Still Mumbaites know how to do it and enjoy the journey with their train mates.

3. Mumbai Traffic
- About this i don't have any good impression. Eventhough the Mumbai Traffic Police is doing its best to control it, still people needs to be educated more on traffic rules. Infrastructure is getting better everyday so do the number of vehicles. BEST came up with new A/C buses, but did it make someone to leave their own car/bike at home and choose the public transport, i don't know..

I will write about Mumbai Traffic later with my suggestions to make it better..

Whatever it is, i love this city ..but don't know why.
i think thats Mumbai... make everybody love her with out any reason...

Another beautiful day, it was raining lightly from morning.. moreover Met. Dept. warned about a cyclone named Phyan over Maharashtra and South Gujarat .. Schools and college were closed for the day. By afternoon , the rains stopped in Powai, but may be because of media coverage, our HR decided to close office by 4 PM.

We reached home by 5, prepared hot hot chai and maggi..

yummy yummy.... :)

Just opened started browsing, going thru the Google wave, i got invitation from Shamz.

listening to songs from keralavarma Pazhassiraja..

then i thought abt my blog and came here..

so thats all for the day..

i was supposed to post my trip details.. but its almost two weeks... and i missed it completely..

its almost 2 months that i haven't posted anything....
Was at the customer site in Ghana for almost 45 days.. then one week in Mumbai closing and handover the customer site activities to the support team..
Then one week vacation to home..
After that again got busy with a project in office, that too working with a guy in US, so i have to work on US timing...
finally everything over, i'm free today..

What should i tell now,
about life in Ghana..
about my vacation to home..

But i'm not gonna tell anything now .. since i'm going out to watch a movie ...
"The Proposal".. lets see hows the movie is ..

So lets write more abt my trips tomorrow...

IPL - Deccan Vs Mumbai

Wow. . what a game..
My Favourites Deccan is winning the game.
Eventhough they have a very low score to protect (just 145).. two bowlers changed the game.
hats off to Suman nad the today's hero Rohit Sharma.
Session 1:
I don't know why Gilly played like this.. just 25 runs from 29 balls, that too with one sixer
Gibbs failed once again- what is wrong with this man.
Suman played some good shorts and gone back to pavilion soon but with an average score.
Rohit took the charge and played the game .. he scored 38 runs.
Smith should have scored little more..
Venu also tried his best and scored 28 from 17 balls.
anyway, the total is just 145.. If Mumbai fires - its nothing for them.

Session 2:
RP Singh striked in hs first over itself. sending back jayasuriya & Sachin..
hehe . is the game turning to Deccan's side..
Pinal Shah & Dumini played some good strokes..
Score is moving up.. GIlly has to do something..
here comes Suman and he gave good result too .. Send back Shah.
Suman strikes once again ,, this time bravo is his victim.
Now Mumbai needs 46 from 30 balls with 6 wickets in hand.. easy target..
Gilly hands over ball to Rohit, and that was awasome..two wickets in the firstover itself..
hard hitters Arun Nayyar & Harbhajan Singh are back in dressing room..
Suman bowled adecent over . .just 5 from it..
Rohit is back and he is on hatrick.. he got it.. Duminy is out .. Gilly took a nice catch..
Good work Rohit.. Once more Tiwary is also fallen to Rohit..
4 wickets in 2 overs... wah.. great.
Now its tough for Mumbai.. 34 from 12 balls.. harris to his last over.. 9 from it..
las tover Rp Singh comes.. 25 from 6.. scored 5 runs..
Deccan won by 19 runs...

After losing 3 continuous game..Deccan is back on track again..

Sorry Mumbai.. eventhough i like your team. but its comes after Deccan only..

Uffff.. It was a loong one.. Most of these questions got me thinking...

My Travel to Ghana

Project delivery is around the corner and the Professional services team is waiting for me to finish the setup. But Management is not yet approved my travel - With out approval, i cannot even apply for the visa.
After getting the approval, Ghana team told they will arrange On arrival visa for me. Good we can save soem time here.

So all set to go, i booked my ticket by Emirates, my favourite airline :)
Supposed to leave Mumbai on 25th May around 10 in the night, but on Friday around 4 PM, i got a mail from Ghana team telling they didn't get my visa and without that i cannpt enter the flight. :(
Oops.. no other option, reschedule the travel plan.

Moved the ticke to Monday 27th May..
By Monday 4 , i got the issued visa and all set to go.

Also i upgraded my travel from economy calss to Business class from Dubai to Accrs using my skywards airmiles. it costs me 30,000 miles.. but access to Business Class Lunge in Dubai airport for 7 hours and travel in Business calss for more than 8 hours..
I think its worth.

So here i'm inside the business class lounge in Dubai International Airport keep writing my blog..

Experience with Air India.

I was very keen about the New Air India, with brand new flights, more facilities , and full page advertisement and all.. after all its the Maharaja , right?

Anyway, i got a chance to travel by air india express .. in domestic sector..
I know , new Air India is for International travel and all.. but
I was coming back from Cochin to Mumbai..
The flight departure time was 9.30 AM , and we departed from Cochin at 9.15 AM itself.. surprising, right ?
We reached Mumbai International Airport by 10.45 AM and was waiting for the check in baggage.
When we reached the belt, (luckily there are onyl 3 belt in the A terminal , where is Air India's operations happening) .. There is no announcement , which belt the baggage si coming, or we can't find any ground staff there.
Thankfully, one Kingfisher from London landed and they took one belt, - still two more belts are free and our luggage may come in any one of them.. Soon one Thai airways also arrived and took the second belt.. Still our luggage is not in the picture..
There we can see the difference, ther aer atleast 5 ground staff in each of the belts for helpign passengers in Kingfisher and Thai..
But our own Air India don't hve any body to ask about the luggage,
By almost 11.30 they announced the luggage will be coming on belt number 8..( Now all of us knew it will be there only, since the other two are already occupied)
Finally at 12.30 i got my luggage..

I n short, i rached to Mumbai from Cochin in 1.5 hours, but my luggage from the flight took 1.45 Minutes to come to the belt...

Who to blame ?

I'm sure . .what ever Air India tries, by new flights, ne wadvertisements or what ever it is.. Unless the people workign with Air India changes, nothing is gonna change...

lets hope, they too will change and make us proud about our own Maharaja...
