My Travel to Ghana

Project delivery is around the corner and the Professional services team is waiting for me to finish the setup. But Management is not yet approved my travel - With out approval, i cannot even apply for the visa.
After getting the approval, Ghana team told they will arrange On arrival visa for me. Good we can save soem time here.

So all set to go, i booked my ticket by Emirates, my favourite airline :)
Supposed to leave Mumbai on 25th May around 10 in the night, but on Friday around 4 PM, i got a mail from Ghana team telling they didn't get my visa and without that i cannpt enter the flight. :(
Oops.. no other option, reschedule the travel plan.

Moved the ticke to Monday 27th May..
By Monday 4 , i got the issued visa and all set to go.

Also i upgraded my travel from economy calss to Business class from Dubai to Accrs using my skywards airmiles. it costs me 30,000 miles.. but access to Business Class Lunge in Dubai airport for 7 hours and travel in Business calss for more than 8 hours..
I think its worth.

So here i'm inside the business class lounge in Dubai International Airport keep writing my blog..

Experience with Air India.

I was very keen about the New Air India, with brand new flights, more facilities , and full page advertisement and all.. after all its the Maharaja , right?
"have you tried the new Air India"

Anyway, i got a chance to travel by air india express .. in domestic sector..
I know , new Air India is for International travel and all.. but
I was coming back from Cochin to Mumbai..
The flight departure time was 9.30 AM , and we departed from Cochin at 9.15 AM itself.. surprising, right ?
We reached Mumbai International Airport by 10.45 AM and was waiting for the check in baggage.
When we reached the belt, (luckily there are onyl 3 belt in the A terminal , where is Air India's operations happening) .. There is no announcement , which belt the baggage si coming, or we can't find any ground staff there.
Thankfully, one Kingfisher from London landed and they took one belt, - still two more belts are free and our luggage may come in any one of them.. Soon one Thai airways also arrived and took the second belt.. Still our luggage is not in the picture..
There we can see the difference, ther aer atleast 5 ground staff in each of the belts for helpign passengers in Kingfisher and Thai..
But our own Air India don't hve any body to ask about the luggage,
By almost 11.30 they announced the luggage will be coming on belt number 8..( Now all of us knew it will be there only, since the other two are already occupied)
Finally at 12.30 i got my luggage..

I n short, i rached to Mumbai from Cochin in 1.5 hours, but my luggage from the flight took 1.45 Minutes to come to the belt...

Who to blame ?

I'm sure . .what ever Air India tries, by new flights, ne wadvertisements or what ever it is.. Unless the people workign with Air India changes, nothing is gonna change...

lets hope, they too will change and make us proud about our own Maharaja...

Our trip to Shirdi & Ellora..

We guys(Me, Ajay & Saurabh) used to plan for so many trips and nothing used to happen ..
This was bit different ..Didn't had much plan.. just thought about it 2 days back and moved on.Dhruti told he will also join with us..

Our program is like Mumbai--> Shirdi --> Aurangabad --> Ellora--> Aurangabad -->Mumbai

So here we go..

We booked the ticket from Mumbai to Shirdi by Raj National Express.(It costs us Rs.1680/- for all 4 of us).We dit it online(http://www.raj.travel/BE_COACH/BECSSR_SearchAvailability.aspx)

The bus leaves Mumbai around 10 and reaches Shirdi by 5.
But believe me, it was as horrible bus, it was not volvo,even though we paid for volvo bus.(No more Raj Natinal Express)

We reached Shirdi by 6 and we took a room in a hotel "Sai Gangothri" to freshen up.The room costs us 1500/- (1350 for Triple occupancy bed room+150 for extra bed)
Every body got freshen up by 7 and we went for Sai Darshan.
(Do remember mobile, hand bags, etc are not allowed in the temple premises, so we kept everything back in the hotel room)
It was not a long queue , so we manged to come out by 8.15.
Then we bought prasad and had brekfast from a hotel near by Shirdi temple, again a bad choice.Food was pathetic and it was not at all hygenic.. :(

On the way back to hotel, we enquired about ticket from Aurangabad to Mumbai and we didn't get it from anywhere.
So we changed our plan and decided to stay in Shirdi for the night, then visit Ellora tomorow and come back to Shirdi then take bus back to Mumbai.
So we booked ticket to Mumbai from Shirdi by Neeta and it costs us Rs. 1600/- for all 4 of us.

After reaching room, we went to Shani Singanapur temple.
We booked a taxi and paid him 650/- for the complete trip + some toll of 30 /- which we paid.
We reached Shani temple around 12. Ajay & Dhruti did the pooja and all. I just roaming around the temple.
We started back to hotel and on the way had lunch from a small place.All of us were very much hungry and the food was quite decent.

We came back in room by 5 or so...Then everybody was tired and went to sleep. We planned to take the same cab to Ellora and the driver told us, it will costs 1300/- for complete trip.We thought that is good price and decided to move with that.
Dinner we had from a good restaurant near temple, i forget the name.

Next day , we started at 7 from Shirdi to Ellora. It was a long jouney of around 3 hours drive.
The driver stopped in a small tea shop for breakfast. another bad choice and our only option was vadapav....
We reached Ellora by 10.30.

To roam around and see the caves we took a rickshaw, it costs us around 150/-We saw almost all the caves, took lot of photographs. and come out from there by 2 only.
it is a nice place..

Then we went to a Hanuman temple near by.

After that we started to Aurangabad and on the way we had lunch from a hotel.
We went to Mini TajMahal in Aurangabad..Nothing great, but a small replica of Taj Mahal.. This is also known as Taj of Deccan.
After visting that, we started our jouney back to Shirdi by 4 PM.
We reahde Shirdi by 7 and took a room in the same hotel to freshen up. it costs us 400/- for just two hours.
Today also we had dinner from the same place where we had yesterday.
then we started our journey back to Mumbai by 10.30 PM..
We reached Mumbai by 4.30 in the morning and the journey as well as the bus was good.

So here comes an end to our first trip together...

Google Inc. , founded by Sergey Brin & Larry Page celebrated its 10th birthday on 27th Sep 2008.

During this 10th Birthday, they launched the new project called project 10 to 100

If you look into the history of Google, you may be confused about its birthday.. it can be on
1.January 1996 - Page and Brin started working on BackRub.
2.Sep 15,1997 - Google.com is registered
3.Sep 7,1998 -Official incorporation
4.Sep 27,1998 -Current official date.

As usual ,Google come up with new logos on their birthdays
