Pune and Kochi are the winners of two new IPL Franchises...
I was infront of the tv to get more news about the same and even was surfing the net.
Pune was won by Sahara group for 370 million USD and Kochi by Rendezvous Sports World Ltd for 333.33 million USD .. Everybody heard about Sahara and their ralation with the cricket is well known .. But who is this Rendezvous Sports World Ltd. ??
So many guesses are spreading in the net- about Shashi Tharoor, the consortium, etc..
Anyway, that is not what i want to tell here..
All malayalam channels except one were praising the Kochi IPL team and its bidders.
One Channel supported by the party was making it as a bad thing ...
The reason i think is just because one of the opposition party's MP is involved with the team.
I think having an IPL team in Kochi will always do good to Kerala..
For crickets lovers,For young players, For Kerala tourism ,For the Government and so on..
Obviously, the bidders are there to do some business and make profit , otherwise why should somebody spent this much of money.. but this is the same case with all the business (except charity /spritual gurus, they may not be interested in profit)..
When will the party and its channel /paper will grow up and support everything which is gonna benefit the state ?
Lets hoping for a day like that...
cheers...

IPL 2010 - 12th March - DC vs KKR
DLF IPL 2010
Once again the cricket carnival is here..
After the grand opening ceremony my favourite Deccan Chargers are taking Kolkatta Knight Riders.
Toss was for Gilchirist and he choose to opt for fielding.
In the first 5 overs, Gilly's guys proved his toss decision was correct.
Knight riders were fallen to 37/4 in 5 hours.
The first ball of DLF IPL was bowled by Chaminda Vaas and it was a wicket.
Rohit Sharma took the catch of Manoj Tiwary.
Vass striked once again in the same over..
4th over , RP sends back Pujara to pavilion.
in 5th over the young Jaskaran sends back the dangerous Brad Hodge..
Story chaged after that.. Angelo Mathews and Owais Shah slowly made the score board moving .. and in the last 6 overs, they were screwed up all bowlers and made the total to 161 ..
Gilly and Laxman opened for DC and made teh score board moving ina good rate.. 5 overs DC scored 55 runs with out loss of any wicket.
Laxman fall for 22 from 14 balls.
Gibbs scored very slowly.. Score is 99/1 ...
Now nothing more to say.. Deccan fall short of 11 runs at the end
i blame it on the great players..Symonds, Rohit Sharma , Gibbs and finally Suman..
we expect more from you guys...
whatever it is, a well deserved win to Knight Riders, Congrats guys...
